The trickster never rests! Mercury rx this past May brought about the realization that the SDAS website suddenly was not working as it should. All the forms on our website that allow members to update their professional directory listings, allow potential members to register with us, and let members reserve library books, stopped working and we only discovered it during the Rx.

We are currently working on an inexpensive way to restore it, and by the time you are reading these words Mercury will be direct and we will be back up and running like normal (fingers crossed) — whatever “normal” may be for an organization with Uranus conjunct the Ascendant in its natal chart. While Mercury Rx is not always the best time to initiate new things, it is usually good for repairs (a somewhat useful memory aid, anything that starts with “re-” is appropriate to undertake during Mercury Rx. Though I’m uncertain about revolutions, Renaults and Reboks!).

This may be a good time to “re-”iterate that any member who writes an article that appears in The Uranian receives free admission to the next regular meeting of their choice (special presentations excluded). There’s a lot of good cogitation in our group, and I would love to see it flourish on paper for us all to read. Even a review of a good astrology book you've read would be wonderful. It’s your newsletter, and I promise, the editor doesn’t bite (as long as Joe Simpson keeps bringing incredible desserts to our board meetings at her house!)

And one last “re” for us — recordings. SDAS has a huge catalog of recorded lectures stretching back as far as Rob Hand's lectures for us in the early ’90s, and we have many of them available for sale in CD or mp3 format — a great benefit of membership. Some true gems are there, including talks by stars of the astrology world who have passed on from this mortal realm. We’re still organizing the catalog and will soon have it on the web.
